Our Prayer
It is our prayer that everyone is part of a church that is unified and preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you do not have a church home, and you are interested in a warm friendly atmosphere, why don't you join us? Sunday School starts at 9:45 am and Sunday morning worship begins at 11:00 am. We would love to see you!

Our Purpose
To reach others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to meet the spiritual and physical needs of others, to enjoy, worship and fellowship with one another.

Past

In 1958, the Western Baptist Association Missionary called a meeting to elect a steering committee to explore the need for a church in the Smokey Road area. In 1959, Unity Baptist Church was constituted with 58 members, some who are still with us today.  It was in 1959 that they began work on a new church building and in 1960, the first worship service took place in what is now part of our Sunday School educational space. In 1979, Unity had a ground breaking ceremony for what became our main sanctuary one year later. It was in 1999 that Unity broke ground for what is now our Activities Building, which added much needed educational space.  This building also serves as our Youth Department building with educational as well as recreational space.

Present

In 2006, we stepped out on faith to begin a NEW JOURNEY.  We took our sanctuary and turned it into a new, state-of-the-art Children's Building.  This building houses two floors of educational space for our children as well as an indoor play area, art room, theatre room, reception hall with kitchen, which are all utilized for the purpose of enhancing our Children's Ministry.  It is during this time that we turned our Activities Building into our current sanctuary and adult educational space.  Thus, giving us room to start our New Vision for a 1500 seat capacity Sanctuary.  At present, with great anticipation, we are looking toward a late Spring or early Summer move in date into the new Worship Center.  Through the years, God has continued to give vision and purpose to Unity Baptist Church and we look forward to the work He will accomplish on our new campus.    

Future

With the New Worship Center, Children's Building and Youth/Activities Building, we look forward to what the future holds.  It is through God and only through HIM ,that we feel the future of Unity Baptist Church looks very bright.  He has blessed our church through the years and will continue to do so as we follow and obey His Word.  We are excited to move forward and allow Him to multiply our ministry as we go about doing His work according to His plan.   With every new step and every new passage, we welcome the future as a new adventure in which He, the Ultimate Designer,  carries us forward!  As always, God has been the focus at Unity Baptist Church and with each vision and each building block, we are secure in the knowledge that He is establishing a building block of faith to others through our church.  Come and join us in helping build a strong future for our generation and the ones to come.
