Upcoming Events

On April 9, 2010 the Golden Agers will take the bus to Cordele, Georgia. From there we will go on a train excursion to Americus, Ga.. The bus will be loading between 6:30 AM and 7 AM.  Lunch can be purchased on the train or you may bring a sack lunch. Plan for your own breakfast and supper. If you want to take this trip, please let Archie Slaton or Hiram Buchanan know as soon as possible.

May 24 - May 28, 2010 we will go by tour bus to Orlando, Florida. This trip is called "The Holy Land Experience".  The cost is $389.00.  We need to sign up no later than March 28, 2010. Full payment will be due no later than Wednesday, April 14, 2010. More information can be obtained from Archie Slaton or Hiram Buchanan.

In June we will be going on our annual "peach trip". (Date to be announced)

In July we will have a covered dish luncheon. (Date to be announced)

Seniors Ministry - The Golden Agers

Senior adults at Unity Baptist Church (UBC) are some of the most active members of the church.  The Golden Agers, participate in weekly Bible studies, luncheons, day trips, overnight trips and volunteer work. 

This ministry has leadership teams that visit hospitals, At-Home and Long Term Care facilities, making approximately 70 visits per month.
